Culture is city infrastructure

A city without affordable creative space loses memory, energy and identity. Toronto’s arts ecosystem supports tourism, small business, nightlife, film, animation, design, education and neighbourhood pride.

Make room to create

Artists need studios, rehearsal rooms, venues, galleries, maker spaces, public walls, permits that make sense and protection from displacement. Cultural space should be part of development and community planning.

Youth creators and student pathways

Students: Join the Mission should include music, film, animation, design, social content, public speaking, event production and storytelling. Creative skills are civic skills.

Festivals and main streets

Toronto’s festivals and cultural corridors bring people together and support small businesses. The city should simplify event permits, coordinate safety and help neighbourhoods host culture respectfully.

Responsible AI for creators

AI can help creators with storyboarding, translation, accessibility and production workflows, but it must respect rights, attribution and human creativity.
